We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help us run our Local Voluntary Managed Library.

Working in partnership with you and the community as a whole, we wish to develop this fantastic facility to further enhance our community, creating a community hub.

And we can’t do this without your help! We need a bank of volunteers, to help run, to support and to develop this wonderful facility.

Today’s libraries offers a wide range of facilities and activities as well as a great space to meet people, offering more than a opportunity to borrow books.

However we are looking at creating a library for tomorrow, in short the creation of a new generation of Library, with scope to meet the needs of its changing community, a pilot for other libraries to follow.

If you have some spare time and an interest in Libraries, we would love to hear from you.

Ideally you will be able to Volunteer for a minimum of 1 shift per week, am or pm (approx. 4 hrs), Library open Mon – Saturday currently closed Wednesdays.

Various opportunities available, Computer skills an advantage however, the ability to communicate and work on your own initiative is more important.

Full training given.

Training scheduled for every Wednesday in March, if your interested, please apply even if you cannot attend these dates as further training will be available at a later date. Handover from County run to Voluntary Managed from April 2016.

Based within Blythe Bridge Library we can offer a friendly and welcoming environment, with great opportunities for CPD and Training if interested.

The Care and Fun Club is a registered charity, supporting the local community.

*We will pay for an updated DBS check as part of the application process, unless you are in receipt of the portable version, which we can verify.
